| 4 stars in 4 months! We were delighted that in September 2009, after only 4 months of trading, we gained 4 stars from VisitScotland. Guest comments on www.tripadvisor.co.uk have been so kind and made all of our hard work and preparations for our B&B venture worthwhile. In only one season, we have already welcomed guests back for return stays! We've met some fantastic people from all over the world and are looking forward to continuing this success throughout 2010. We will hopefully see some familiar faces back for some of the annual events such as the Jim Clark Rally, the Jed-Forest Sevens, the Jedburgh Callants Festival, and the Kelso Ram Sales, only 20 minutes drive. New hot tub for guests Whether you've been walking, cycling or shopping all day, our outside hot-tub is a great way to relax. Kept at a cosy 39 degrees, it doesn't matter what the temperature is outside. The views are great during the day, but the stars are amazing at night, with no light pollution to spoil the constellations. Girly weekends in early spring We can accommodate groups of up to 6 friends for pamper weekends. Let us bring a beautician to Glenacre, and while individual treatments are taking place, the rest of you can relax in the hot-tub or by the wood-burner. Then enjoy a country walk before eating in Jedburgh, and then retiring to one of our beautiful rooms. Wake up when you want to - a late breakfast is a must! We are within easy reach of Edinburgh and Newcastle, so if you want a completely chilled out weekend, Glenacre is the perfect choice. BBQ for family summer evenings At the end of last summer, we bought a gas BBQ for guests to use on warm summer evenings. Why not buy some great local produce at the local butcher or the monthly farmers market and cook your own dinner? Paper plates, napkins and condiments supplied! Great for families or groups of friends. Telephone 01835 840 671 Email: info@glenacre.com |
