Whether you've been walking, cycling or shopping all day, our outside hot-tub is proving a great way to relax. Kept at a cosy 38 degrees, it doesn't matter what the temperature is outside. The views over the Jed Water are great during the day, but the stars are amazing at night, with no light pollution to spoil the constellations.
New residents at Glenacre
We have had our paddock fenced and have been joined by 14 Wiltshire Horn tups and 2 lambs, who are more than willing to pose with guests for photos! In the field opposite, there are now a few Belted Galloways as well as the miniature Highland cows
Gifts at Glenacre
We now have a display of local gifts and crafts in the hall, as well as luxury cashmere for sale- scarves, wrist warmers and hats, all made locally using only the finest cashmere.
Girly weekends at Glenacre
Why not come to Glenacre with friends for a girly weekend? Celebrate a special birthday or use us for a hen party. Within only 1 hour (from either Edinburgh or Newcastle), you could be relaxing in our hot-tub, getting cosy by the wood-burner, enjoying treatments (by arrangement) or learning to make canapes, speciality cakes, or anything else you and friends would like to make- a spectacular wedding cake was made by one group back in February. Wake up when you want to - a late breakfast is a must!

BBQ for family summer evenings
At the end of last summer, we bought a gas BBQ for guests to use on warm summer evenings (yes, we’ve had a few!). Why not buy some great local produce at the local butcher or the monthly farmers market and cook your own dinner? Paper plates, napkins and condiments supplied! Great for families or groups of friends.
