Situated in 1½ acres of private land and surrounded by open countryside, all rooms enjoy fine views, peace and tranquillity. Deer are frequently spotted in the field beside the property and a friendly pheasant may provide your wake-up call! With ample off road parking, locking storage for bikes, outdoor gear etc, jet-wash facilities for mountain bikes, and beautiful guest lounge with wood burning stove, Glenacre can accommodate walkers, motor enthusiasts, cyclists or those who simply want to relax. In the evening, guests can make use of the beautifully decorated west-facing lounge, with wood burning stove, CD player, books, games, DVDs, piano and guitar. Jedburgh (5 minutes by car) has many great restaurants, cafes and bars, serving everything from traditional Scottish to Indian. Light evening meals, using quality local produce, can be provided by prior arrangement.
Breakfast is served in the cosy Hawthorn Snug. Using local free range eggs, the specialities of the house are the “Full Scottish” or a mountain of freshly made pancakes. When the sun shines, breakfast can be taken on the patio, and for those in the Oak Room, on the deck overlooking the Jed Valley. A high chair is also available.
Access to the Bed & Breakfast is via a gently sloping ramp and all doors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. Glenacre is completely non-smoking but feel free to take in the fresh air and the views around the property!
